The certified 800 FILL POWER genuine down padding has always been the defining element of Ciesse Piumini. This is why we work every day to constantly improve: purity, quality, and respect for the environment and animals are at the core of our philosophy. FILL POWER refers to the ability of down to occupy volume and provide warmth while ensuring the greatest possible lightness. FILL POWER is inversely proportional to the weight of the garment, but directly related to its performance. Ciesse Piumini uses 90% down clusters, the softest, finest and most delicate part, and only 10% the stiffer quill fibers.

800 fill power down.

The lightness of a down jacket is due to the internal structure of the down itself. Down is made up of a series of small interconnected air pockets that trap body heat and retain it. This structure provides excellent thermal insulation without adding weight.

Furthermore, down is known for being highly compressible, meaning the jacket can be packed into a very small space when not in use, making it ideal for travel and outdoor activities.

Ciesse Piumini’s experience in processing and using down is based on the idea of environmental responsibility and respect for animals. This is why we have always exclusively used down that comes from the food chain and from controlled, certified farms.
The 800 FILL POWER down is sourced exclusively from the finest, most delicate and precious goose down feathers. 70 grams of 800 FILL POWER down guarantee the same thermal capacity as 100 grams of 600 FILL POWER down, allowing more than double the savings in terms of down usage, and above all unparalleled lightness.
